The bad news on this website is alarming, and it's only the beginning. Every day we hear more horror stories. Sometimes it seems there are so many problems in the world it's impossible to know where or how to begin making a difference. Is there anything one person can really do?
YES!
History makes it clear that improvements in living conditions always result directly from increases in freedom, education, and the spread of advanced science and technology. Victory over the problems of the world will result from:
Promoting freedom and democracy
Providing health care and education to everyone
Dedicating resources and open minds to the development and application of emerging technologies
Join an organization that is committed to one of these causes (click on a link above for a sample list). Find one that's working on a problem you feel passionate about. It can be a local group or an international organization; the important thing is that you will be in touch with people who feel the same way you do. And when people work together, anything is possible. Offer to help. You will surely be welcomed and your efforts will make a difference!
